Nancy Taylor Robson

Robson was one of three primary caregivers for her father from his diagnosis until his death, and she has walked with friends and other relatives as they’ve made their journeys ‘home.’ One of the first women in the country to earn a US Coast Guard license to run coastal tugs (detailed in her memoir, Woman in The Wheelhouse), Robson has also written essays, features, profiles, maritime analysis and reportage.

Her work has appeared in regional, national and international newspapers and magazines and she is the author of several books. A University of Maryland Master Gardener, who grows much of the family’s vegetables and writes for the Grow It Eat It blog, She is also the founder and Acquisitions Editor for the collaborative publishing company, Head to Wind Publishing.
